The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC Ltd) has clarified that the Naira-for-crude contract between it and Dangote Refinery is not terminated, rather, the terms are under review.
This is even as the state oil company disclosed that NNPC Ltd has made over 48 million barrels of crude oil available to Dangote Refinery since October 2024 under this arrangement while 84 million barrels of crude oil has been made available to the Refinery since its commenced operations in 2023.
The clarification is coming against the back drop of recent reports circulating on social media regarding the alleged unilateral termination of the crude oil sales agreement in Naira between NNPC Ltd and Dangote Refinery.
