Former Ekiti State Governor, Dr. Kayode Fayemi, has dismissed claims credited to the Senator representing Ekiti North Senatorial District, Cyril Fasuyi, that he was accused of sexual harassment by Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan of Kogi Central, describing the allegation as false and misleading.
Earlier reports on Wednesday had quoted Fasuyi as saying Akpoti-Uduaghan previously accused Fayemi during his time as the Minister of Mines and Steel of sexual harassment and that Fayemi, will be presenting a petition through him, against the Kogi senator.
But in a swift response in a statement late Wednesday, the Head of the Fayemi Media Office, Ahmad Sajoh, described the report as inaccurate and a misrepresentation of the actual comments made by Fasuyi, stating that upon reviewing the plenary, the Ekiti lawmaker never made such an allegation.
