The incident happened on Saturday night, leading to many residents deserting the area.
A source who spoke on condition of anonymity told DAILY POST that seven dead bodies had been recovered while many others were still missing.
It was gathered that some youths in the area had mobilised themselves to chase away cattle that strayed into their farmlands and destroyed their yams.
