Joe Igbokwe, the Special Adviser to the Lagos State Governor on Drainages, has suggested how the South-east region can produce a president amidst discussions about the perceived exclusion of the region from national politics.
In a Facebook post, Igbokwe stated that Igbos are only interested in Nigeria and not in Biafra, as shown by the support received by Peter Obi during the 2023 presidential election.
Igbokwe also highlighted the region’s dissatisfaction with its representation in the national political landscape and urged IPOB and the rest of the region to embrace building bridges of friendship and trust with other Nigerians.
He emphasized that the issue is not the agitation for Biafra but to be supported and encouraged to produce the President of Nigeria in a nation that belongs to all.
Igbokwe advised IPOB to seek peace and engage in constructive dialogue with other Nigerians, promoting unity, equity, justice, and fair play.
