36 governors to meet EFCC, CBN over security votes allocation

  • Governors of the Federation are currently planning to hold a meeting with the CBN, EFCC and other security agencies
  • According to reports, the governors would meet with the security agencies to discuss on issues surrounding security votes allocated to States are the FIRS and the CBN
  • Meanwhile, the Security vote is a monthly allocation given to state governments for improved security within their states

The thirty-six (36) governors in Nigeria under the umbrella of the Nigeria Governors Forum (NGF) have planned to meet with officials of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) and the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), among others to iron out issues surrounding states’ security votes.

The Nigeria Governors’ Forum, through its head, Sokoto State Governor Aminu Tambuwal, announced this on Sunday, April 2nd, The Punch reported.
