MOSIEND Congratulates Rivers Governor-elect, Fubara

Movement for the Survival of the Izon Ethnic Nationality in the Niger Delta (MOSIEND) has congratulated Rivers State governor-elect, Siminalaye Fubara, for emerging victorious in the just-concluded election in the state.

Addressing a press conference in Port Harcourt yesterday, MOSIEND national spokesman, Charles Omuku, said Fubara’s landslide victory was a reflection of the will of the people of the state.

Omuku further said the emergence of the governor-elect was also a testament to the coexistence of the people of the state.

He said: “As a group, MOSIEND is thanking all Rivers State indigenes and residents who deemed it wise at this time to vote in an Ijaw son to serve as governor of the state. Truly, our joy knows no bounds.

“The governor-elect should have faith like Daniel in the lion’s den; hope like Moses in the wilderness and a heart like that of David. The Lord be his defence so that he can face all giants with confidence.”

“We pray God to grant the governor-elect the grace to unite the people and a Solomonic wisdom to lead them well, so as to bring the needed sustainable development, youth empowerment and prosperity across the length and breadth of Rivers State.”
