The New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) governorship candidate in Ogun state, Olufemi Ajadi, has announced plans to take legal action against the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for omitting the party’s name from the ballot papers.
Ajadi expressed his disappointment with the conduct of the governorship and house of assembly elections in the state and claimed that the party had written a letter to INEC before the election to ensure that the party’s name was included on the ballot paper alongside its logo.
Ajadi also claimed that he was attacked by hoodlums allegedly hired by the All Progressives Congress (APC) at his polling unit. When TheCable checked INEC’s website, it was found that the party’s name was not included on the logo. Ajadi has vowed to challenge INEC in court over its failure to include the party’s name on the ballot paper.
