Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun, yesterday, visited Gabriel Michael, who was hit by a stray bullet during the Naira scarcity protest in Abeokuta, on Tuesday.

Speaking with newsmen after ascertaining the recovery of the victim, who was receiving treatment at the Federal Medical Centre (FMC), Idi Aba, Abeokuta, the governor urged the residents not to resort to violence as a result of cash crunch, noting that vandalism would not solve the problem.

Abiodun, who also pleaded with the people to remain calm, as the government was doing its best to address the situation, said embarking on civil unrest would worsen the situation.

He said: “I plead with everyone in Ogun State; your governor is doing everything humanly possible at this time. We have spoken to the President and the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) governor. I have met with the bankers and monarchs too.
