The House of Representatives has proposed a motion directing the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) to immediately shut down pornographic websites in the country and sanction internet service providers (ISPs) that fail to comply.
The Federal lawmakers blamed the sites for promoting prostitution, adultery, and other promiscuous behaviours, leading to addiction, desensitisation, and change of attitude among Nigerians.
