
David Umahi Federal University Health Sciences, Uburu, in Ebonyi State, has sanctioned 14 students for various offenses, including examination misconduct, stealing, and poor academic performance, while also stressing its commitment to cancer treatment services.
During the institution’s 4th matriculation ceremony on Saturday, Vice Chancellor Prof. Jesse Uneke revealed that the university had taken strict disciplinary actions against the students. Two students were expelled for examination misconduct, three were given a one-year suspension for theft, and five received one-semester suspensions for the same offense.
Additionally, three students were withdrawn due to poor academic performance.
Prof. Uneke emphasized the importance of academic integrity and discipline, warning that the university has zero tolerance for behaviors that could affect its reputation.
