Nigerians have been united in condemning a Lagos teacher, Stella Nwadigbo after she was caught in a video assaulting a 3-year-old boy, Abayomi Michael, during a numeracy lesson at a private school, Christ Mitots School in Ikorodu.
The 45-year-old teacher was captured in the video which went viral on Wednesday, repeatedly slapping the toddler after he failed to get a particular figure right during the lesson, an act which led to public outrage with many Nigerians on social media.
While many called for her arrest and immediate prosecution, others called for the school to be closed down indefinitely.
