Super Eagles forward Chidera Ejuke has returned to light training at Sevilla following a hamstring injury he sustained in mid-October, Soccernet.ng reports.
After a difficult first month at Sevilla, Nigerian forward Ejuke picked up the pace in September and became a regular for the club.
Unfortunately for him, he suffered a hamstring injury in late October, in Sevilla’s 5-1 thrashing at Barcelona. He was initially ruled out of action for for three months, to return in January. But he now seems to be close to full recovery.
This is as Sevilla shared pictures of the former CSKA Moscow superstar doing some light work on the pitch.
Now that Ejuke is back doing light work on the pitch, it means that he is very close to returning to action. The 26-year-old forward could return to action in the second week of January.
Ejuke’s return will give Sevilla a big boost in the attack. They have lost three of their last six La Liga games, as they have struggled to score goals.
Los Nervionenses currently sit 11th in La Liga with 22 points after 17 games.
