Amid service disruption saga, FCCPC warns banks against customers’ right violation

Amid the recurring issue of service disruptions experienced by banks in the country as they migrate their tech structures, the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (FCCPC) has issued a strict warning to financial institutions against continuing disruption in online banking services across Nigeria.

This is even as the Commission warned that during service disruption, it is essential that banks keep their customers fully informed about the causes, scope, and anticipated duration of any service issues.

This warning was contained in a statement by the commission’s Executive Vice Chairman/ Chief Executive Officer, Tunji Bello on Tuesday.
