As the Nigerian government prepares to re-arraign the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu on Tuesday, the group has once again, called on the government to release him unconditionally to avoid what it calls dire consequences.
In a statement issued on Monday night by IPOB’s Media and Publicity Secretary, Emma Powerful, the group described
Kanu’s detention as a political and ethnic persecution aimed at weakening the resolve of the Igbo people to press for their self determination.
