The Infrastructure Concession Regulatory Commission (ICRC) has assured all stakeholders that the construction of the $3.5 billion Bakassi deep seaport will commence soon.
The construction of the seaport, an agro-value-chain port that will explore the potential in the nation’s agricultural sector in the South-South part of Nigeria, the north and other parts of Africa will be executed as a Public-Private-Partnership (PPP) project.
The Director-General of ICRC, Jobson Ewalefoh, gave the assurance at a high-level stakeholders’ meeting in Abuja where a statement of endorsement for the port project was signed.
