The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command has denied disrupting the “peaceful protest” of the Non-Academic Staff Union of Educational and Associated Institutions (NASU) and Senior Staff Union of Educational and Association of Nigerian Universities (SSANU) in Abuja on Thursday.
The National Labour Congress (NLC) among other complaints accused the FCT Police Commissioner, CP Benneth Igweh of “breaking up a peaceful protest at the Unity Fountain” through “excessive use of force and other hostile means” to scare and intimidate workers.
