When the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Ltd (NNPCL) led by the Group’s Chief Executive Officer, Mele Kyari decided to break a 44-year-old jinx of opaqueness in the dealings of the company by releasing its first accounts from 2018 to 2022 despite not being a publicly traded company, the NNPCL was applauded by local and international rating agencies.
Critics of the company are still selling malignant falsehoods to Nigerians and dubious comparisons of the NNPCL with publicly listed Saudi Aramco.
