Rivers United Continue Poor Run In Rescheduled Games

Rivers United Football Club of Port Harcourt have continued their slump in their rescheduled topflight games with 2-0 defeat by Abia Warriors of Umuahia on Wednesday. The defeat made it three losses in a row since they started playing their rescheduled matches accumulated because of their campaign in the CAF Confederations Cup.

Striker, Obi Samson, scored his seventh league goal of the season as Abia Warriors moved back to the top half of the Nigeria Premier Football League table following the 2-0 victory over Rivers United in the rescheduled game decided at the Umuahia Township Stadium.
