According to the UK Telegraph, Liverpool may need to compensate Sporting CP in order to secure the services of manager Ruben Amorim.
Amorim is emerging as a potential successor to Jurgen Klopp for the upcoming season. Should Liverpool decide to pursue him, they would need to trigger a release clause in his contract.
Amorim can potentially leave Sporting for as little as €15 million (£13m/$16m) when the release clause becomes active in the summer. This amount decreases to €10m (£8.5m/$10.5m) in the following season.
