President Tinubu names GIG’s Ajaere, Dangote, others in new economic council

In response to Nigeria’s economic challenges, President Bola Tinubu has announced the establishment of the Presidential Economic Coordination Council (PECC) and the Economic Management Team Emergency Taskforce (EET).

In the PECC, which is led by the president and constitutes top-level government officials, a number of prominent private sector leaders were also listed as members.

In what appears to be a nod to youth inclusion and the knowledge economy, the president named as member, Chidi Ajaere, a young entrepreneur renowned for his resilient approach to business and leadership. As a futurist, he has spearheaded innovation in Nigeria’s technology sector, founding and growing successful businesses over the last decade. These ventures continue to make significant impact across industries while driving technological advancement and economic progress.
