In the autumn of 2023, Lagos successfully hosted 1xCup, a big football tournament among amateur teams. From October 3 to November 23, the fans’ attention was focused on exciting matches between squads from five city communities. All the participants had an opportunity to show their football skills, while the winners and finalists were awarded cash prizes. Three months later, we talked to the 1xCup winners and found out how their lives changed over the past time.
