Embattled former Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Godwin Emefiele, has threatened to sue Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, for allegedly making what he calls defamatory comments against him.
Akpabio had on Sunday, February 18, during a thanksgiving service in honour of Senator Barinada Mpigi in Koroma, Tai local government area of Rivers State, stated that Emefiele’s crimes were too many that President Bola Tinubu’s administration did not know the crime to charge him (Emefiele) with.
The former Akwa Ibom State governor noted that the government was at a loss on what charges to bring against Emefiele as accusations against him ranged from causing economic turmoil to illegal possession of firearms and unauthorised printing of currency.
