Fireboy DML urges infrastructure boost for afrobeats, calls for Lagos arenas

In a recent interview with Cool FM’s Do2tun on Tuesday, December 11, the talented singer lamented about the lack of infrastructure in Nigeria, questioning when international fans would have the opportunity to experience live performances within the country.

Fireboy underscored the importance of establishing an arena in a city like Lagos to enhance global connections. Expressing his thoughts, he remarked, “Everyone is saying ‘Afrobeats to the world.’ The music is perfect. But there is no structure. The [foreign] fans are listening [to our music] but when are they going to come to Lagos and watch us perform? When are we going to have arenas in Lagos where we can bring people from all around the world? You know, it [structure] will make everything just easier.”
