WARRI – Preparations are underway for the anticipated 8th edition of the Warri/Effurun Peace Marathon with a view to have a seamless sporting event that would transform the oil city of Warri through the peaceful strides of competitors.
This was disclosed by Joyce Bozimo, Chief Executive Officer of WEPM, organizers of the annual event in Warri, she said that the 8th edition of the event that is approved by Athletics Federation of Nigeria (AFN) and supported by the Delta State Government would see the inclusion of schools and corporate entities to engage the people of Warri and Effurun in a festive sporting experience.
