The video, which was shared on social media by his close friends, showed the emotional moment Wizkid paid tribute to his late mother, Jane Dolapo Balogun.
Wizkid, whose real name is Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun, lost his mother after a brief illness. He had earlier announced her death on his Instagram page, writing: “Rest in peace mama. I love you forever.”
The wake-keeping service was held on October 12 at a private location in Lagos. Wizkid was surrounded by his family members.
