Manchester City player reportedly set to join Barcelona

The Portuguese defender looks likely to leave the club before deadline day having failed to feature in any matchday squads so far this season. Barcelona had initially shown interest in Joao Cancelo during the 2023 transfer window in January but it did not happen because of the player’s wages.

He rather joined Bayern Munich, who refused to trigger that player’s buy-out clause despite a goal and six assists in 21 appearances for the Bavarians.
