US Coast Guard Announces the Discovery of Some Debris Field Within the Search Area for The Missing Titan Submersible

A debris field was discovered by a remotely operated vehicle (ROV) within the search area for the missing submersible with five personnel aboard, according to the US Coast Guard on Thursday, June 22.

“Experts within the unified command are evaluating the information,” according to the Coast Guard. It is unknown whether this debris area is linked to the missing submersible. The Coast Guard stated that a press conference will be held at 3 p.m. ET to “discuss findings from the Horizon Arctic’s ROV on the sea floor near the Titanic.”
