Bonny Indigenes Protest 50 Years Of Neglect By Oil Multinationals

The ancient town of Bonny in Rivers State has been brought to a standstill as indigenes took to the streets in droves to protest alleged 50 years of neglect by International Oil Companies (IOCs).

The protest, which began in the early hours of Monday, has resulted in a total lockdown of the town, with major companies also shutting down operations due to the tense atmosphere.
