United Kingdom (UK)-based gospel artiste, Ezekiel Olayemi, held a concert titled: “A Call to Those Who Will Worship” to close year 2024.
The concert featured a line-up of talented performers, including Genesis Odeh (Genesis Sax), Awesome T Base, Glory Ikpe, and Anuoluwapo Alonge.
After a brief hiatus from organizing concerts, Olayemi returned with a bang in 2024. His summer concert, “Victory After Praise,” which held in July, showcased international artists such as Beejay Sax, Nikki Seriki, Andrew Bello, and Genesis Sax.
This event brought the community in Aldershot, United Kingdom, together with his unique blend of artistic creativity and uplifting sounds.
The final concert of the year took place on December 27, serving as a celebration of God’s faithfulness through heavenly music. Olayemi expressed his vision, stating, “My goal has always been to unite people in worshiping God and to create a welcoming space for both the young and old.
Speaking to LEADERSHIP Weekend, he said”God is omnipotent and deserves our praises. If we fail to worship Him with our talents, He will find other means, such as raising stones, which would signify our failure in life.
“I have been incredibly grateful for the support I’ve received from church members at the Redeemed Christian Church and from my pastor, who has been a constant cheerleader for my artistic endeavors.”
He added that these concerts have inspired him to prepare for the release of his new album, which is nearing completion.
Olayemi envisions bringing together even more gospel artists in 2025 to create a vibrant gospel music scene in the Aldershot community. “My heart’s desire is to glorify God, and I will continue to do so,” he affirmed.
Gospel Afrobeat has been gaining traction in the United Kingdom, thanks to the contributions of Nigerian artists who are actively creating opportunities for emerging performers and enriching the cultural landscape of the region.
