US sanctions Chinese cybersecurity company over links with hacking group

The U.S. Department of the Treasury has imposed strict penalties against Integrity Technology Group, a cybersecurity company based in Beijing, on Friday.

The company is charged with aiding the state-sponsored hacker organization Flax Typhoon in “multiple computer intrusion incidents against U.S. victims,” including key infrastructure in the United States.

Flax Typhoon effectively targeted a number of American colleges, government offices, media outlets, and telecommunications companies, according to the U.S. Department of State.
