According to The Trademark Official Gazette, Beyoncé won her legal challenge against a small Wisconsin boutique that had owned the trademark since September 2009 for the phrase ‘Blue Ivy‘.
The legal battle began in early 2012, shortly after the birth of Blue Ivy, when Beyoncé’s company, BGK Trademark Holdings LLC, filed an application with the United States Patent and Trademark Office. However, the application was met with opposition from wedding planner Veronica Morales, who claimed that her company, Blue Ivy Events, had been operating under the name since 2009.
