The national coordinator Niger Delta Media Activists Group and Excellent Leadership Foundation, Chief Izzi Yakiah, has said former governor and leader of Bayelsa APC Chief Timipre Sylva saved Bayelsa State from becoming a one party state.
The APC chieftain also urged prayers for stability of the nation’s economy and the viability of President Bola Tinubu reforms and the growth of APC.
Yakiah, in his new year message, said the former minister of state Petroleum is the face of modern democracy in Bayelsa State, “saving the Ijaw homogenous State from one party system since 2013 till date.”
Izzi said Sylva’s drive for a sustainable local economy through stable electrical power supply, sports development, scholarship for undergraduate and empowerment of citizens across strata stands tall as a challenge to former and present Government since he left office in 2012.
He noted that his contributions towards nation building particularly the Petroleum Industry Act which he personally championed and several reforms initiated repositioned the nation’s oil and gas sector for rapid growth.
The APC chieftain also said the 2023 APC Deputy Governorship Candidate Joshua Maciver, has contributed towards the recent rise in Nigeria daily oil production of one point eight million barrels per day underscore his passion for a new Nigeria and a prosperous Bayelsa State.
Thanking the Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited Coordinator for Bayelsa State for his numerous intervention of empowerment for thousands of citizens across religion and political lines.
He also acknowledged the commitment of State APC chairman, Barrister Demiss Otiotio to Tinubu’s Renewed Hope agenda and growth of APC in the state..
He said Otioto purposeful and visionary leadership has brought discipline and a strategic foundation road map to the party targets of taking over power in the creek haven in 2027.
He also expressed satisfaction with the operations of the Niger Delta Development Commission under Dr. Samuel Ogbuku’s vision of changing the interventionist agency from a transactional institution to a transformation agency.
He said Ogbuku is attaining the status of the best ever administrator to have managed the NDDC following the completion of the
sub-station at Ode-Erinje in Okitipupa local government area of Ondo State.
