Former Anambra State governor and presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP) in the 2023 general elections, Peter Obi, has knocked the New Year speech of President Bola Tinubu, saying despite the president giving himself and his administration a passmark on its performance, facts and figures on ground do not suggest so.
Obi who made the assertion during a world press conference in Abuja on Thursday, said contrary to the claims made by Tinubu and the All Progressives Congress-led administration, the socio-economic situation in the nation is worsening by the day.
Obi who emphasized that he took his position as a concerned Nigerian, said what the country requires is a selfless and exemplary leadership to surmount its socio-economic challenges in order to attain its full potential.
