In a statement released on Friday, the General Manager of the Borno State Urban Planning and Development Board, Limán Mustapha, indicated that this prohibition aligns with the Borno State Urban Planning and Development Law enacted in 2002.
He specified that the board has outlawed street hawking, the operation of tricycle services, and the activities of generator mechanics in the vicinity of Maiduguri’s Post Office and Monday Market.
