Budgeting N2.4bn for fuel, travel is shameful display of mismanagement, greed, PRP tells Bauchi Gov, Mohammed

The Bauchi State chapter of the Peoples Redemption Party (PRP) has condemned the allocation of N2.4 billion to the purchase of fuel and traveling in the state’s 2025 budget proposal presented to the House of Assembly by Governor Bala Mohammed.

The opposition party in a statement issued on Friday by the State Secretary, Hon. Wada Abdullahi, described the allocation of such a whopping sum to fueling government vehicles and generators, and travel by government officials as a ‘shameful display of mismanagement and greed’ exhibited by the state government amid the hardship being experienced by the citizens of the state.

The party said it is “appalled and disgusted by the recently unveiled budget plans of the Bauchi State Government and the State House of Assembly, which have revealed a blatant disregard for the needs and welfare of the citizens they are meant to serve.”
