Former Anambra State governor and presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP) in the 2023 general elections, Peter Obi, has debunked rumours that his party is in talks with the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), and the New Nigeria People’s Party, (NNPP), to form a mega party ahead of the 2027 elections.
Obi who disclosed this at a press conference in Abuja on Thursday morning, declared that thus far, there was no such merger talks with the PDP, NNPP, or any other party.
Obi stated that despite insinuations and widespread rumors of merger talks, there are no established agreement between the LP and other opposition parties.
