The Turkish champions are eager to leverage this connection to persuade the 26-year-old to stay, despite growing interest from European heavyweights Arsenal, Manchester United, Paris Saint-Germain, and Chelsea.
According to Turkish outlet Fanatik as per Tutto Napoli, Galatasaray’s ambitions hinge on a bold financial strategy.
The club is reportedly working with Chinese investors to raise the €75 million release clause required to make Osimhen’s stay permanent.
This clause, notably not applicable in Italy, offers a glimmer of hope for the Süper Lig leaders. However, any such deal would only materialise at the end of the season.
Osimhen has made his stance clear, stating, “I’m at Galatasaray until the end of the season.” This declaration shuts down any mid-season transfer speculation with the focus of the Nigerian forward on helping Galatasaray chase Super Lig and Europa League glory.
Galatasaray president Dursun Özbek and his team are said to be mobilizing resources to make the deal possible. The club has reportedly secured significant sponsorships from two Chinese companies, forming the financial backbone of this ambitious project.
Meanwhile, Manchester United reportedly held discussions with Napoli over a potential January move for Osimhen.
While Napoli appeared open to the idea, the Nigerian forward’s loyalty to Galatasaray has put those plans on hold.
