Tinubu’s choice of Badru, Abubakar wins Katsina governor's approval

Katsina State Governor, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, has commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for appointing two distinguished Katsina indigenes to top positions at the Sokoto-Rima River Basin Development Authority (SRRBDA).

Badru Muntaka Ahmed, a seasoned banking executive with over two decades of experience, was named Executive Director of Agricultural Services.

Governor Radda highlighted Badru’s unique qualifications, stating: “His proven track record in managing complex regional operations and agricultural financing will be invaluable to the Authority’s mission.”

Badru’s background includes a degree in agricultural education from Ahmadu Bello University and extensive experience in agricultural financing, most recently as Group Head, North III, overseeing operations across seven northern states.

Similarly, Abubakar Ibrahim Dutsin-ma has been appointed Executive Director of Finance. He brings substantial public sector experience, including his tenure as Mandate Secretary for Agriculture and Rural Development.

Governor Radda noted Abubakar’s leadership on ministerial committees, such as the Committee on Sales of Fertiliser, and his ongoing MBA in Agribusiness Management from Rome Business School.

“These appointments demonstrate President Tinubu’s careful consideration in selecting individuals who possess both the technical expertise and regional understanding necessary for these crucial positions,” Radda remarked.

The Governor congratulated the appointees on behalf of the Katsina State Government and expressed confidence in their ability to drive the Federal Government’s agricultural transformation agenda.

“This recognition of Katsina’s human capital is a testament to the state’s invaluable contributions to national development,” Radda concluded.
