The incoming President of the United States of America, Donald Trump, has filed a request before the Supreme Court to delay the implementation of a new law set to ban TikTok owned by ByteDance.
Trump‘s attorney, John Sauer, said in a brief filed on Friday, December 27, that the former president is requesting that the Court halt the ban so that he can attempt to find a “political resolution.”
“The electoral mandate and the political will to negotiate a resolution to save the platform while addressing the national security concerns” is what Trump highlighted in the filing as evidence of his ability to negotiate.
