Presidency berates Obi for allegedly politicising death of over 70 Nigerians in stampedes

The presidency on Monday berated former Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi, over his statement on the recent stampedes in some parts of the country.

More than 70 people died during the distribution of food items to the needy in Oyo, Anambra, and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) last week.

In a post on his X handle, the former Anambra State governor blamed the incidents on hunger and systemic failures in the country.
