The Federal Government of Nigeria has allocated N960bn for maintaining defence aircraft and procuring security equipment in 2025, with funds spread across key agencies, including the Nigerian Army, Navy, Air Force, DSS, Police, and Immigration.
Major allocations include N438.8bn for Immigration, N110.2bn for Army defence equipment, N70.4bn for Air Force defence equipment, and N39.4bn for Navy defence equipment.
Additionally, N13.9bn is set for aircraft maintenance and fuel, while N51.5bn will cover arms, ammunition, and protective gear.
The proposed 2025 budget, tagged the “Budget of Restoration,” earmarks N4.91tn for defence and security to address insurgency, banditry, and other challenges.
