Kaduna govt extends teachers’ retirement to 65 years

The Kaduna State Governor, Uba Sani, has signed an Executive Order increasing the retirement age of the academic staff of some state-owned tertiary institutions from 60 to 65 years.

The state Commissioner for Education, Prof. Muhammad Sani- Bello, disclosed this to journalists at a media briefing in Kaduna.

He said the decision followed last Tuesday’s meeting between the governor and the leadership of academic unions of all state-owned tertiary institutions.
