Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kano State, Abdullahi Abbas has called on the party members in Dawakin Kudu/Warawa constituency to unite and ensure the victory of the party in the future while receiving decampees from the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) in the constituency.
The NNPP members were received by the APC secretary Ibrahim Sarina who represented the state chairman at the event on Monday at Dawakin Kudu town.
“I want to call on all our supporters and those who joined us today to unite and ensure that we plan against the 2027 elections.
“We are calling on all our APC members, especially those from Dawakin Kudu and Warawa to unite and be trustworthy and avoid internal clashes and ensure that we stand as one united body.
“This is very important. Our members in this constituency should embrace one another and forgive the past,” he stated.
The 12,000 NNPP members led by a legislator Sulaiman Dalib Yargaya said they left the NNPP to avoid abuse of democratic tenets predominant in the party.
“In our quest to unite with the right persons that have the people at heart, I, Hon. Sulaiman Dalib Yargaya, the Sardaunan Matasa, along with 12,000 of my supporters, making a total of 303 ballot boxes in 15 polling units, have decided to move to the ruling APC in our beloved Dawakin Kudu local government area.
“We want to assure the APC leader in this constituency Hon Bala Dawaki and other party leaders that we have joined the party because of the good intentions and plans that should be emulated by others. This should be a pride for everyone especially the patriotic citizens” he stated.
