The 30-day event will address key issues such as unemployment, education, and political participation, with a focus on grassroots engagement.Youth groups, including the Arewa Youth Consultative Forum, Yoruba Youths Council, Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide, and Ijaw.
National Congress, have criticized the delay, calling it a missed opportunity to involve young Nigerians in governance and nation-building.
Many view the conference as vital for addressing escalating unemployment and social unrest.
The Minister of Youth Development, Ayodele Olawande, clarified that three weeks will be spent engaging with grassroots communities, culminating in a one-week session in Abuja.
He promised an action-oriented approach, emphasizing that this conference would differ from past ones.
Youth leaders, including NANS President, Lucky Emonefe, urged swift action and called for increased youth representation in governance, proposing that 50% of public leadership roles be reserved for young people.
