The Osun State Police Command has confirmed the arrest of a suspect in connection with the killing of a farmer, Sikiru Onaolapo, who was shot on his farm in the disputed Oke Ekutu area.
Oke Ekutu, a contentious settlement between the Ilobu and Ifon-Orolu communities, has been a source of tension.
Police spokesperson CSP Yemisi Opalola announced that additional personnel, including tactical teams, have been deployed to the area to maintain peace and prevent further violence.
