Suspected armed robbers on Friday attacked players and officials of El-Kanemi Warriors FC of Maiduguri and took away valuables.
The team was attacked at the busy Bauchi – Jos Federal highway at Rijiyan Malam village.
The spokesman for the Bauchi State police command, Ahmed Wakili, confirmed the incident to Ripples Nigeria on Saturday.
