Elon Musk’s Starlink ordered to cease operations in Namibia due to non-compliance

Satellite internet company Starlink, owned by Elon Musk, has been subject to a cease-and-desist order by Namibia’s Communications Regulatory Authority for operating in the nation without a license.

Starlink has been accused by the Communications Regulation Authority of Namibia (CRAN) of providing services throughout the nation without obtaining regulatory approvals, and as a result, the public is not allowed to utilize its services.

The law in Namibia requires all telecommunications providers to receive a license from CRAN before they can operate within the nation. Starlink has applied for a license, but it is still being reviewed and has not been authorized.
