The World Trade Organization (WTO), has reappointed Nigeria’s Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, as its Director-General for a second tenure at its General Council meeting held on Friday.
The reappointment of Okonjo-Iweala who made history as the first woman and first African to lead the WTO, was announced on its official X handle shortly after she officially secured a second term, and its 166 member states have unanimously agreed to reappoint her for a second term.
