A member of the House of Representatives from Ideato North and South Federal Constituency of Imo State, Ikenga Ugochinyere, on Sunday, alleged that some Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governors and state chairmen are plotting to retain Umar Damagum as the party’s national chairman till 2027.
Ugochinyere, who stated this at a press conference in Akokwa, Imo State, lamented that the party had been overtaken by political opportunists.
The lawmaker expressed disappointment that the PDP has become merely an “errand platform for the All Progressives Congress (APC).
