Edo State Governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo, will on Tuesday, November 26, inaugurate a new panel to probe the administration of his predecessor, Godwin Obaseki with the aim of recovering government assets allegedly stolen or diverted during the past administration.
Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Fred Itua, who disclosed this in a statement on Sunday, said Okpebholo has already approved the formation of the 14-member State Assets Verification Committee to investigate the administration of Obaseki.
The Committee which will be chaired by Dr Ernest Afolabi Umakhihe, will be inaugurated at the Government House in Benin City, according to Itua.
